power of prayer

I have been reading Power of a Praying Wife and I think it is a great book. It isn't a book I can sit down and just read through. It's a little too "meaty" for me. I have to read some and process and think about how I can change and what I can do for Justin.

I've been praying her sample prayers at the end of the chapters and I know that there is power in the prayer. I've seen the effects of it a little tonight already - and not that God grants wishes but I know that praying for Justin and specific aspects of who he is and parts of our life, God is hearing me.

Several posts ago, I was in prayer over whether or not to continue with my Mary Kay business and I have felt so much peace in letting it go. I think they are a great company and I still LOVE the products and will continue using them, but Premier has so much more. I am so impressed with the women I've met in my upline and "side-line" and the mentorship I have received from my "Great-Grandma" and "Grandma" is amazing. They are such spiritual godly women and Elizabeth speaks so much truth in my life and she stands firm on God's word. I wish I lived closer to them so I could attend her Bible studies!

I'm praying for God to bless my business and expand my territory (there are no territories in Premier - quoting the prayer of Jabez). I've branched out from my wonderful friends and it's scary because the women I meet and am booking shows with don't know me personally so there isn't the same assurance that they'll hold! However, God is faithful and I truly am trying to walk side-by-side with Him in this. I can see how this will help us be able to move through the Dave Ramsey Baby steps quickly.

I've already earned a lot with Premier, but the truth is, I always make enough to cover what we need. So far I haven't put any into our savings which is my goal, especially because we need a van now that baby #3 is on the way. But God is faithful and I've been able to help cover expenses and Justin is so excited about the business, too, that it makes being away for a few hours every week okay.
