I'm blessed that my boys had such close one-on-one time with her, especially Jedidiah, who had many a diaper changed by Malize . . . a couple doozies, from what I've heard. (Thanks, Mom!)
It's quiet now, except for the sound of Jeremy shifting on the couch as he quietly rests while Jedidiah takes his morning nap and I keep thinking of meaningless little chatter but there is no one here now to appreciate it.
I learned this week that no one loves you quite like your mother does, and I vow that I will do everything in my ability to make sure my sweet boys know how much their mommy loves them. My mom is a great example of a sophisticated mix of laugh-until-you-cry-moments and serious conversations that end with a solution or hope . . . never just left to be figured out on my own.
Mom, I already miss you more than you know.
