Extreme Makeover

I always tear up when Ty shouts and everyone yells: "Move that bus!" Tonight I am at my parents' house and I get to watch cable (yay!). Nick @ Nite is having a marathon of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

The Single Dads of Camden(?) is the group they built the house for. There are several young dads there, one as young as 16. One man, Victor, helps get these kids off the streets. Ty did an amazing job with the rooms. He decked out Victor's son's room in state-of-the-art recording equipment and speakers and computers -- the whole nine yards.

Victor's son came in and freaked out of course, but then he started crying. Not because of the amazing equipment, but because he had a bed. He'd been sleeping on the couch for 6 years.

Two other guys were sharing a room and they freaked out when they saw it too, but the first thing they did was jump on their beds. They'd been sleeping on the hardwood floors of the old house. Every guy who went into his room was the most excited about the BED.

At the very end, Victor, the man who started this group, said, "This is going to be the most amazing night's sleep of my life" and hid his face in a cloth.

I didn't hide mine.
