Elmo Airplane

Justin bought Jeremy a $1 Elmo kite as part of his birthday present, so yesterday we took it to the church field and tried to get it to fly. After many failed attempts, Justin re-arranged the sticks on the back and immediately it went into the air.

Jeremy, of course, wanted his turn, so Justin let him hold the handle. Jeremy threw it. Over and over again. He would promise to hold it tight and since it was his present, we believed him. Ha!

The last time he threw it, I tried running after it and my pants were starting to fall down, so I'm grabbing the back of my pants (they're held up with a hair band) and Justin runs past me to get it. It gets tangled on a power line and goes into the street.

Justin spends about 15 minutes trying to get it down.

Jeremy calls it the Elmo airplane. We had a great time together, running around, watching the kite, trying to get it to fly, and chasing after the stupid thing when Jeremy would throw it.

It was great fun.

What a cute story. I tried to picture you, pregnant, running after the kite and, shall we say I found it highly amusing? I love you and miss you, but don't know when I can see you. Two track meets this week. News about the writing conference on my blog!!!!
